Tavola Skateboard Deck POWELL PERALTA Bucky Lasek Stadium 10" x 31.5"

A wonder of East Coast skateboarding in his youth, the story goes that Bucky started skating after his bicycle was stolen. 
In reality, there was a shop owner from Baltimore named Andy who liked Bucky. Andy offered him products and generally gave favorable prices and discounts. Bucky quickly began participating in amateur competitions, often making it to the podium. His name rose to the point where, in 1989, Tony Hawk invited him to visit SoCal.
The release in 1990 of the board that became known as the STADIUM model was one of the graphics entirely designed by Sean Cliver during his three years at Powell Peralta. The backstory behind the unusual baseball-themed graphic has little to do with Bucky's interests or his actual baseball skills.
Not only was Bucky known for being a nice guy, but Sean also knew he was from Baltimore. At that time, the Baltimore Orioles were experiencing a revival with their new stadium (Camden Yards) under construction while Cal Ripken Jr. was trying to break the world record for consecutive baseball games played (which eventually reached 2,632), far beyond what anyone could imagine.
Sean saw this as an opportunity to give Bucky Lasek, the good guy who was liked by everyone, a graphic that reflected this and BOOM, ladies and gentlemen, here is the Powell Peralta Bucky Lasek Stadium!
