Rodney always hated this graphic. I am quite sure he still does. If you get one of these boards I would not suggest asking him to sign it. But it is, for good or ill, part of our companies history. Why Rodney always ended up with the worst graphics is not a story often talked about. In a way Rodney took a bullet each time one was released. But letting a graphic define Rodney is like Lincoln trying to ho- nor fallen soldiers with mere words at Gettysburg. There just aren’t enough of them so a few will have to make do. Rodney’s contribution to skateboar- ding will live on long after this horrible graphic is forgotten. And I simply don’t have the power to add or detract from someone who constantly gives his last full measure of devotion to advance skatebo- arding beyond its unfinished boundaries each time he puts a board under his feet. So all that is left for me, and all of you, to do is to either bow our heads down once in a while whenever we find ourselves rolling around or turn up the volume all the way and scream “Rock is King”!
